We realized right from the start that we were purchasing an "As is" property, but didn't expect to be treated almost like a nuisance for trying to get basic information on the property! We were well aware that the owners didn't have to fix anything, but as a courtesy it would have been nice to be informed of issues before we moved in, the main one being a hot water system that didn't work (we knew one air con didn't work, but turns out two didn't) and then being told a day before settlement that there were no keys to the property (as I have since discovered, every property should have at least one locking door, something that surely should be on a real estate agent's check list?) luckily we did not go ahead with hiring a locksmith as you suggested, because there were in fact 8 keys here!!!!! We also asked if it was OK to put the bins out, and were told it was, however the owner showed up at the same time to do just that, we felt very awkward, and it could have saved us a 2 hour round trip! (Our agent offered to put our bins out for us) We have bought and sold 3 homes in the past 5 years, and each time the agents on both sides have been beyond helpful (even a bottle of champagne and a congratulatory welcome card) all we received was a voicemail message from your office! From a seller's point of view, your company is obviously very focused, but from a buyer's point of view, your service left a lot to be desired.

I had no problem with Maria however my overall experience with Roleystone Real Estate during the course of dealings with them has been well below expectations. The final selling price achieved was some $110,000 lower than the original market estimate provided three years ago. Disappointed overall.
