We were looking at selling our house and asked a number of people who they would recommend for a real estate agent. One name consistently came up; Mark Lawler from Salamanca Realty. We initially met with Mark and were impressed with his professionalism, knowledge and honesty. Mark didn’t try to over promise just to get a listing, he gave us a carefully considered appraisal of our house and an outline of how he would approach the sale. We listed our house for sale with Mark and we could not have made a better choice. Salamanca Realty may be a smaller agency than some others, but what that means is that you get very personalised and individual service. Mark has a wealth of knowledge gained from a lifetime working in real estate and he demonstrated this many times during the sale of our house. Mark provided excellent advice on upgrades we were making to the house and how best to maximise our sale price. Mark was incredibly supportive during the period we were upgrading the house and as an example helped source some tradespeople for us at very short notice. In terms of the sale process, Mark’s communication was first rate. He gave us regular updates on what he was doing and the progress of the listing. Mark was totally committed to the selling of our house even to the point that he met a potential buyer at the Hobart airport, drove them to our house for an inspection and then took them back again. The process of selling our house went seamlessly, with house staging, photography and sale ads occurring precisely when Mark indicated they would. The end point of selling a house is the sale price achieved and Mark managed to sell our house for a price that was 20% above the estimate.
