We have used Mark to both purchase and now sell a house. The process could not have been simpler. We got in contact with Mark to discuss selling our house which we hadn't even seen in over two years due to working in Victoria. Within two weeks he had organised to have it tidied up, had two open houses with 27 groups through and ultimately sold the house at significantly above what we thought possible. Even the use of Docusign for all contracts meant we never even had to print contracts to sign and scan and send back etc. Simply electronically sign everything and return. I'm honestly staggered that it was all so easy. There was no stress whatsoever in the whole process. We literally gave it all to Mark and didn't think about it again until it was done. If you want to sell fast, for top dollar and with minimal effort required from you then Mark is your agent. I don't write reviews like this unless it's well deserved. We couldn't be happier. Mark is very professional but at the same time friendly in his approach to marketing a property. I found contacting Mark was easy with him following up any queries I had very quickly. Mark went that extra mile in assisting me in purchasing this property. My only concern was the bond clean, the standard of this clean was very poor. Mark had informed me that the people performing the clean performed this service for David Deane. I would suggest either using a different company or checking their work. Having previously owned a cleaning company in NZ I am aware of what the correct cleaning procedure should be.

We had really poor communication with the agents at David Deane. When we were first putting our contract on the home it is tenanted so we had questions that were relating to the sale with tenants being in the property, they didnt could answer questions and said to research ourselves. We then had two agents communicating with us giving us conflicting information that was really confusing. On mulitple occassions we were given the wrong information. When I would try and arrange things with the listing agent they would say I had to contact another agent (who wasn't a listing agent) to arrange these things instead of arranging them within their office or just arranging them. With the pre settlement inspection the agent hadn't showed after 20mins so we contacted them and the stated they were almost there. We waited 45mins for them to show up. I was really disappointed in the whole process. Buying our first home should definitely be a really exciting time but found that these agents poorly communicated and made the whole process less enjoyable. I often hear about cute little gift baskets or special things the agents do for you once you have settled to make it a really special and even more enjoyable time. Thank you for the $7 bottle of wine though 😉 Edit: Mark has called and stoke to me and stated how they have put things in place to hopefully make peoples experience better
