We interviewed 3 different agents. We told then that we did not want to be promised a huge sale price (so that we would sign up with the agent) only to be told "the market has dropped and you now have to lower your asking price". On a $400 k house, Mark's range was $80-100k less than one of the other agents. The third was in the middle. We chose to go with Mark because we did not think he was just working us. We did try for a higher asking price, which he agreed to trial. Very little interest at all. The end price was exactly in the range he suggested. He also kept us informed of progress after every open house, as well as during the week. We were told about each offer and given an opinion on the readiness of the buyer. We also sat down several times to discuss strategy. Generally very happy.
