We choose Martin as our agent initially a couple of years ago but because he did not keep appointments on two occasions we decided to find another agent. Time passed and we took the property off the market but once again decided to sell in November 2015. Martin's standing as an agent had improved so we decided to give him another go. Initial appraisal reached were well over a Million dollars. After a good marketing program the property failed to attract a buyer although we were told the property was beautifully presented and price was not a determining factor. We were advised to lower the price, which we did. In our discussion I said we could go as low as $975K however we expected a figure just under $1M. Much to our disappointment the figure of $975K became the new high. When offers were being presented I thought Martin could have negotiated better. On two separate occasions he informed us that he had the buyer. Due to my wife's illness and the lack of suitable treatment in Coffs Harbour we accepted an offer of $965K. When I met the purchaser, he informed me that he would of gone substantially higher as this is the house that they wanted. Overall I think Martin is a likable person however he was too busy with other things to have our sale as a priority.
