THe Sale of Mr & Mrs Bukovac's Beloved Cottage
Earlier this year, my parents had to move to a retirement village, because of their ill health. It caught us all by surprise. It felt emotional. I had done 13 property sales previously, but never had to sell my parents beloved home of many years. So, I came with a plan. I wanted to give this whole situation dignity and respect. As I got started with clearing and cleaning of the old place, I invited 6 local real estate agents to do an appraisal.
Matthew Dawson from McGrath's Ettalong came through with flying colours. He impressed me with his unique approach to buyers, his skillful process of negotiation with bidders, which results in satisfactory outcome for buyer and vendor. His last year's sale records and comparison with the rest of the market, confirmed my decision.
And what a team we made!? Matt started peaking the interest of the potential buyers, while I redesigned the whole place and gave it a fresh more contemporary look. The first weekend on the market, and we had a buyer. He offered $25 000 more then the second bidder. My parents were happy. They definetely got the best price, and to mum's satisfaction, the buyer truly loves the place.
Well, this was my 14th property sale, but like no other ever before, thanks to Matt Dawson's unique commitment to work and selling ethic which holds both vendor and buyer in full respect.
