We appointed Matt from a pretty strong field of agents to sell our parents' property on the edge of Dubbo. It was kind of special for us and them, as the house they had built 30 years ago and which was their key asset. Just as importantly, it was pretty special in the Dubbo property market - 4-bed house on 10ha with a massive shed, and small stock yards with loading ramp, as close as it's possible to get to suburban streets. But properties don't sell themselves. We worked with Matt to devise a marketing plan to draw out every possible interested buyer. The short version: 3 opens in 3 days; 30+ parties attended; 6-7 active bidders; sold in less than a week for $130-180k beyond our expectations, and probably set a new benchmark for this kind of property in Dubbo. There was some sensitivity required so as not to disturb our parents' lives unnecessarily. Matt was consultative and collaborative throughout, working to our timetable, and ready to spring into action when the time came. Marketing was well executed, and Matt responded to our desire to "go big" (without overspending) with a great suggestion about radio advertising - not the norm, but we made it happen together and the results speak for themselves. At the business end, Matt was honest and competent in receiving offers and communicating with us and the buyers.
