Director takes the Reigns

The whole country is experiencing difficult times due to Covid 19. In such times you need the mindset to adapt. As Director of Ray White Carnegie, Matthew Hurlston took hold of the reigns, ignored the barriers Covid 19 presented and found new ways to market our property. Ray Whites online auction platform was working well and we decided to go with that initially with a possible Thursday evening auction. In the end restrictions lifted a little & we were able to have an traditional Saturday afternoon auction with ONLY registered bidders. Point here is Ray White had selling contingencies in place , were flexible and adaptable. This ability to adapt extended to the buyers as well! All buyers had flexible access times to the property, including opens & by appointments. All their questions no matter how left field were answered either immediately or soon as they were able to get answers. The result was a very good one for us as vendors and the buyer seemed happy too!

Matthew was intelligent, supportive, and showed a deep knowledge of the real estate mar

Matthew and his colleagues Dane and Andris were all good communicators. They guided us through the process of preparing for sale, reported in detail after each Open Home, discussed fluctuations in the market and, at auction, got us a very good price at a difficult time (on the eve of the Covid 19 Lockdown). We would recommend them to anyone planning to sell.

Professional, genuine, a great communicator.

Matt is a very knowledgeable, professional agent. He is straight talking, provided helpful advice and helped us to manage our expectations at a very difficult time. (Selling during a pandemic is not for the feint hearted!) He and his team were help and considerate throughout and the auction was beautifully managed. I absolutely recommend him to anyone in the area who is looking to sell.

Matthew was extremely knowledgeable about the current market and put me at ease with selling.

At our first meeting Matthew discussed the spring market, our property and size of land etc and what he thought we could get through auctioning now. The experience was really good, Gerry and Matthew were in contact with me daily once inspections began. They were very accurate in relaying back potential buyers thoughts and views on the property. I was getting nervous as I've never sold a property before but they were only a phone call away and I always left our meetings feeling positive and relaxed. Auction day was amazing. Lots of people in the street and Matthew spoke about the property so well. The opening bid blew us away and one of My daughters had a tear in her eye as we approached the final bid and it was much more than we could wish for. Wow what a day it was, thanks to Matthew and his team

Great Agent. Great Bloke.

I purchased the property from Matt in 2009 and he sold it for me 10 years later. A great example of amazing customer service ... with regular (but not annoying) follow ups from Matt over the journey to see how I was doing. Nothing is too much trouble for Matt - went above and beyond to win the listing and deliver a successful auction campaign. A standout compared to other agents that are often lazy in my experience trying to secure new listings and following up leads from OFI's ... Matt is what you want from an agent particularly in a difficult market. Thanks again Matt.
