Having lived in small towns her whole life, Director Maureen Lacey made the decision to move to Tassie and make a leap into real estate in 2004. And we’re so glad she did! Maureen wanted to work for a company that did what they said they did, and she found that at Harcourts, as the first franchise was being established in Launceston. Shortly after, she opened her own franchise and Harcourts East Tamar was born and is one of the longest running Harcourts offices in Tasmania. With degrees in International Business & Commerce majoring in Marketing and a Masters of Business Administration as well as experience in business, tourism and government, Maureen knows a thing or two about how to bring together a team of professionals and create excellent outcomes. And that’s exactly what she does! A regular day for Maureen involves advising vendors and buyers, landlords and tenants and her own team on how to achieve their goals in an efficient and effective way. As the founder and director of Harcourts East Tamar, Maureen is passionate about her team and the great work they do. Having worked for Harcourts for 16 years, Maureen loves the variety that her role offers and the opportunity to help people. Her one piece of advice to clients is that 'we’re here to help you'! Whether you’re a tenant or landlord, buyer or seller, Maureen and the team want the best outcome for everyone. Maureen loves the East Tamar region for its food, wine and beaches, and the way the river meets the ocean. When she isn’t doing awesome work in the community, you’ll find her mountain bike riding, gardening, bushwalking or catching up with family and friends. A fun fact about our leading lady: she grew up on a dairy farm and has her motorbike license. Aside from being a Director, Property Consultant and mum, Maureen is also an active member of the community, having been an Executive Officer of the George Town Chamber of Commerce, previous Chair of the George Town Destination Action Plan and a previous recipient of the Tourism Northern Tasmania's Champion of Tourism. It’s Maureen’s drive and energy to do great things for her region that make her an outstanding agent for all of her clients!
