Merv Smith

Merv started his career as a Fitter and Machinist with BHP prior to moving to TAFE as an instructor and then finally moving to a career in realestate. In 2004 Merv & his wife Shirley purchased Alice Street Real Estate and have not looked back. Since taking over the reigns of the business, they have created a culture within the office of one of a caring nature and continue to encourage an atmosphere where honesty and integrity are paramount within the operations of the office. Merv has a passion for real estate and enjoys helping people to achieve their goals in selling or buying property. He also has an established clientele base, who keep coming back or referring people to him. He is not content to sit around waiting for things to happen, rather he does a lot of follow up with both sellers and buyers and particularly keeps the vendors informed of what is happening whilst their homes are on the market. Having purchased and sold properties himself he is fully aware of the stress that can be placed on both sides of the sale and will assist and guide both parties during the purchase, which helps to alleviate the difficulties that can be faced in the process. Having lived and worked in Maryborough for the past 19 years he has a strong affiliation with the community, and has been involved in many clubs and associations over the years to assist in the area moving forward. He is enthusiastic about the future for the Fraser Coast region and is please to assist anyone looking at moving to the area.
