We had an early 20th century Federation style house that had been our family home for 63 years and, needing a lot of renovation, we new it would be a difficult house to sell. After having 4 groups of estate agents look at the house, all of whom we were dissatisfied with, my sister and I drew up 3 criteria for the estate agent that we would go with. These were firstly, they had to want to look over the house BEFORE sitting down to talk to us. Secondly, they had to love the house and be enthusiastic in really wanting to sell it, seeing its potential. Thirdly, we did not want a long history of properties that they had sold, past records etc etc but rather we wanted the estate agent to be able to tell us how they would market our house. Michael Dunn and Phoebe Shepherd filled everyone of these criteria (unbeknownst to them) and they were the only agents that did. Throughout the whole process they kept in constant touch with us giving us reports on every open house and viewing, feedback on discussions with potential buyers and meetings with us on progress and updates. Michael Dunn and his team handled the sale of my property with professionalism and I found them to be "straight shooters". What I liked about the team, is that they made it clear that they were there for the long haul and put no pressure on me to sell my house at a price that did not reflect my needs.
