Goodyer’s Maroubra property specialist, Nic Fren, will never forget the feeling of being handed the keys to his first home. He was 20 years old and had been working non-stop for 3 years in a full-time and various part-time jobs to save for the deposit.
“When the estate agent handed me the keys, I understood that it was a milestone, and it struck me how critical real estate is in one’s life.” Says the 30 year old.
The real estate agent who sold Nic his first home was so impressed with the hard-working lad who had just made it all happen for himself. “He offered me a job in his real estate agency and I haven’t looked back.”
Nic says there’s nothing he enjoys more today than handing over keys to new owners of property. “I love this job so much; and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else,” he says earnestly.
For the past nine years Nic has been pounding the pavement and manning the phones in his relentless pursuit of building a reputation as Maroubra’s ‘go to’ agent. Having set new records and breaking old ones he has certainly proved himself as one of the leading agents in the area.
He loves Maroubra because of its nationally recognised surfing beach (Nic himself surfs there), its enormous potential for property growth, and its down-to-earth, friendly locals.
“It reminds me of home,” says Newcastle-born Nic, “I’m never happier than when I’m showing potential buyers the splendour of this laid-back beachside suburb,”
