Having worked with Nicholas Wise previously, as a member of his team my expectations of Nic were high. Perhaps unfairly so. Nonetheless, Nic surpassed them. Through every interaction Nic was considered and professional. He is personable and laidback, with a laugh or a thoughtful word for all parties, as is appropriate in the circumstances. In our circumstances, Nic was responsive and open with all his communications. The manner in which he managed the various parties in the transaction was impressive and ensured that all parties were afforded every opportunity to participate in and contribute to the transaction. The integrity and honesty that Nic displayed throughout the process was impressive and has left an indelible impression on us. It is hard not to confident and comfortable in the transaction when all parties have the comfort that the person 'in the middle, spinning all the plates' is committed to ensuring the integrity of the process. As we've said to both Nic and Nicholas Wise in person, we would still happily be writing this, even if we hadn't been the successful party. Nic struck us as being an operator of that standard. It is often unfair to paint someone as a protege, as it doesn't allow for the up and comer to make their own unique mark. However, if I were Nicholas Wise, I'd want to make sure that there was a professional development pathway in place...with a very steep trajectory.
