Nick's McGrath team has always been one of smooth, polished professionals. From the moment we met Nick and Nick, we were very impressed with their slick presentation and confidence. We always got the impression that they knew exactly what they were on about. Maddy, whilst also being professional, adds a valuable air of warmth and enthusiasm, which compliments the cool, calm of Nick and just soothes us vendors whilst the boss stays cool and detached. However, it was a pleasure to see Nick (intentionally or otherwise) drop the smooth exterior on the odd occasion, although we did appreciate his very strong negotiating and poker player skills (and very happy that it was for our benefit and we were not playing against him). His support crew - the Finabode and the Advantage styling people were also appropriately professional and did a wonderful job - very happy with the styling and am very tempted to get them in to style my new home. The only constructive criticism I would like to add is that if using a substitute team (ie when Finabode could not come in to do the painting indoors), please vet your next level crew as much as the top level as I was not happy that the painters didn't use drop sheets and casually dropped paint on the carpet and the walls (and I had to overpaint the architraves where their wall paint brush had brushed up against the white and marred it). Even though it was a relatively little thing, it is actually the little things which can affect the overall impression and I was a little cranky for a few days afterwards until I could see the bigger picture again. Overall, however, it has been a very positive experience and while I suspect that Nick may have managed our expectations just as much as he managed the buying process, we are thrilled with the result nonetheless and felt very safe in his hands and confident that he would deliver. And deliver he has - the best result in the street - ever, I think. Thanks team!
