Communication and professionalism lacking
My experience was quite frustrating, the agent communicated in a style that was more in line with mates talking at a pub, rather than a professional doing a serious task. Information was often demanded of me within short time frames, yet minimal essential information was returned, and critical paperwork was not returned until halfway through the allowable timeframe. As the buyer, the property was poorly presented and not maintained, and the state of the property on settlement was poor with dripping taps leading to large amounts of mould build-up and leaf litter throughout the property.

Throughout the transaction, there were multiple occasions where urgent communication was required due to time-sensitive finance and contractual matters, including extensions that were requested on your behalf on more than one occasion. Despite challenges with YOUR availability at times, I worked closely with all parties to ensure the contract remained on foot — particularly during periods where the seller was considering withdrawing altogether.
In relation to the property itself, it was clearly communicated and you very well understood that this was an older, 1980s-era home that had been tenanted previously, and understood the condition in which you were buying the property. In addition to this, my team attended the property prior to settlement to tidy and present it as best as possible, despite presentation and maintenance ultimately remaining the seller’s responsibility.
As always, my priority is to facilitate a smooth transaction while balancing the expectations and obligations of both buyers and sellers. I genuinely wish you all the best moving forward and appreciate the opportunity to have assisted you through the process.
