Top shelf agent!

Paul looked after us extremely well. From the very beginning our conversations were constructive and supportive - once we listed Paul stayed in touch very regularly, keeping us updated a few times a week. His professionalism and expertise were very comforting during an anxious time - can't recommend him highly enough.

Thankyou very much Paul Filippone!

We found Paul to be extremely professional and informative in every aspect of selling our family home. His communication skills were exceptional and Paul made sure we were communicated with at very stage of our sales campaign. His market knowledge, negotiation skills and hard working ethic were second to none which resulted in us selling our family home well beyond our expectations. Paul understood the many hard years of work and pride that had gone into renovating our family home and he was able to confidently relay this information to prospective buyers. Above all it was Paul's honesty and true character which was very refeshing. What we had expected to be a daunting and stressful experience, was in fact the complete opposite because of Paul and him team. There is no doubt that we would call upon Paul again in the future if were ever to sell another home. Damien & Maree Giansalvo

Paul Filippone's review as a Vendor for 408/55 Collins Street, Essendon VIC 3040

Paul was highly recommended as an established agent in the area for the sale of our property. From the outset I was impressed with his level of service and communication. Paul set my expectations from the beginning and constantly kept me up to date with proceedings along the way. I would recommend Paul as a professional who could assist with someone's needs in either a sale or purchase of a future home or investment.

Highly recommend

I have now sold 3 houses with Paul. I always find him professional and calming, which is what you need when selling a house. He goes above and beyond and is a pleasure to deal with. I can only sing Pauls praise.

Selling up? Paul's the man!

Selling a house can be a stressful process for all kinds of reasons with uncertainty of outcome being one of the biggest concerns. I found Paul to be a great help during this time. After the initial scope, Paul was in contact (almost immediately) after every inspection with an update and confidence boost (- even when no-one had turned up). Due to circumstances, he and his team had a limited time to lead in and auction which looked a bit grim for us as vendors. The timing was possibly less than ideal, but as Paul reiterated, you never know what can happen on the day. Paul was in contact before the auction to let me know how things happen and what I could expect, and what would be expected of me - for this I was very grateful. The big day came with a rather less than spectacular number of bidders. Proceedings were slow and doubtful but Paul read the situation and prospective buyers in a very professional manner. Paul delivered an ideal so well that even I felt inspired by this home. It not only moved me but seemed to have had the desired effect on the buyers too as he managed to reinvigorate a stagnant auction. We were fairly impressed (and relieved) with the outcome and believe Paul was hugely instrumental in our successful sale. I appreciate Paul's guidance, professionalism, experience, warmth and patience and would commend him without reservation.

Managing expectations....

When Paul visited our family home for the first time, he and the auctioneer sat down at the kitchen table with us and talked. And talked. And talked. For nearly 90 minutes, Paul explained everything from house preparation, styling, advertising, Open Houses and auction strategies. But most valuable to us was learning how to manage our expectations. For the agent, balancing reality and optimism is a fine art and not without its dangers. Most homeowners believe their property is priceless and generally do not take kindly to talk about the need to be realistic in a competitive market! We were no different, wanting to clear the big million-dollar mark, regardless of what it was worth. Paul provided us with a lot of balanced, objective and evidence-based counsel along the way. Paul phoned us after each Open House to walk us through the visitor numbers, explain who he considered the potential bidders were and to review the overall campaign. When we got 35 groups on our first Open, Paul shared our excitement but cautioned us against reading too much into this. When we had just one person on a wet Wednesday night, Paul was able to reassure and comfort us and remind us not to read too much into this either! Paul also helped us interpret the weekly advertising statistics, once again offering much needed guidance to keep things in perspective. The four weeks leading to an auction can be a most emotionally draining experience. Having an experienced campaign manager at hand to help you through the ups and downs of the journey is priceless. There were times we felt nothing could go wrong and other times when we felt the house just wouldn’t sell. Through it all, and over too many phone calls to recall, Paul helped us remain positive but not get carried away. We were delighted with the service and care we received from Paul and the Essendon Barry Plant team. And the icing on the cake? We made the magic million-dollar mark after all!
