We contacted three agents from different companies when preparing to sell our run-down seventy year old property which has been leased for over 50 years, the last tenant living there for about 13 years and unable to care for the property well. Our existing management agent let us down we felt in allowing the property to deteriorate and we were reluctant to let their associated sales company handle the sale. Contacting Paulette from LJ Hooker, Merrylands, was the best decision we could have made. Paulette understood the market and potential buyers and already had some listed who had missed out on other properties. She told us not to spend any money ( we had been thinking $50,000 plus) on renovations, not even on painting as prospective buyers would want to renovate to their taste and we would be wasting our money unnecessarily.
