I was barraged with agents, all promising great things, I took about 6 months to finally decide to sell and to pick an agent. In choosing an agent I visited other open houses they were selling in the area. In all there was a huge disparity with what they were saying other properties would sell for, and what they did sell for, I would say on average agents understated other property prices by 20%-25% - on the other hand some where telling me a likely price for my property which I thought was quite too high. I had two meetings with one agent but at an open house I visited the following weekend he did not even remember me. Another sent multiple letters getting my wife's name wrong despite me correcting them. Not one suggested me visiting other houses, going to their other auctions, or introducing me to clients. That was until Peter came along - he listened, showed me what he was achieving with other clients, took me to auctions. His price guides were accurate both for the other properties he was selling and his estimates of mine. He made it easy for me to choose him as an agent. He helped me prepare my house for sale, with recommendations that were far more practical than what some other agents had said. Once I had signed the agreement for him to sell the property, he kept in very regular, but not annoying, contact with me. Overall he was a very good and credible agent.
