We had been looking for a house in the area for a while and had meet Peter and Cheryl at a number of properties. They were always approachable, knowledgeable regarding the local market and were interested in getting to know what our purchase criteria was to find the perfect house for us. Through getting to know our criteria for purchasing, Cheryl and Peter steered us towards a house that is perfect and has made us very happy and we love living there. We purchased our house from Hoskins and Peter sold it for us, so we have been both a purchaser and a seller. Hands down Peter has been the most impressive real estate agent we have engaged with. Whether you are buying or selling, Peter's communication, integrity and professionalism is always apparent. You know you can trust what he says, even if it's not great news, he communicates in a way that is honest whilst being understanding, always thinking of your best interests as opposed to his interests being a priority. He provided advice on more than one occasion when we were thinking of selling, into what work we needed to prioritise. We never felt pressurised to 'go on the market', he waited until we were ready. We had been looking in the area for a long time and we found Peter and Cheryl to be friendly, approachable and helpful during inspections and negotiations of the property we eventually purchased. Peter and Cheryl have a high level of knowledge of the local market, properties and buyers.

We first had dealings Peter (and Cheryl) 3 years ago when we were considering selling our house on 2/3 of an acre in North Ringwood, which we had owned for 40 years. For the last 20 years it had be tenanted and fallen into disrepair. Peter made appraisals of market as it was, with house removed and for a 2 lot sub division. He indicated the pluses and minuses of a doing a 2 lot subdivision. Even then we were impressed with knowledge of local and out of the ordinary real estate. He made definitive and credible estimates whereas other agent came on with could be about this or that. In hindsight we reckon his appraisal was spot on Fast-forward, we decided to go down to subdivide and after 2+years we ended up with title two very large cleared blocks of prime real estate. We revisited agents for sale of one of these blocks. Some gave us a rather negative approach, some gave very little substantiation of there appraisal and other were just after a quick sale. Peter inspected the property and back at his office proceeded to provide substantial evidence of sales of large blocks in the area. We are skeptical and cautious vendors but Peter answered all our questions in detail and with evidence to support his answers. We pushed for a sale range at the top end of our appraisals and Peter was content with this. His commission and his advertising costs were the lowest we had been quoted. He even made sole agency agreement very short so we could bail out if there were no decent offers. We felt quite confident listing with him. After a short marketing campaign Peter achieved much interest in the property and presented us with best two offers, both of which were at the top of the range. With a little more negotiation the sale was completed, yielding a price beyond our expectations. Peter delivered what he said he could and we will be listing the second allotment with him!

We had been looking at houses for 12 months. In that time we had met with many agents. So it was refreshing to deal with Peter and Cheryl who went out of their way to provide additional inspection times and meet us on our terms. Peter was open and honest in his representation of the property and market value. He kept us informed during the sale negotiations and we are glad to have purchased with him.

Cannot recommend Peter and his team at Hoskins, Cheryl and Julie, highly enough. Peter came to appraise our house at our request, we approached Peter after he had sold properties in our area with great success. He was only too happy to fit in with our schedule, gave great advice on the sale process, how to present the property for the best sale results and gave us a no frills review of our property.
