This purchase was for my second property and it definitely doesn't get any easier the second time around, but Peter made everything as easy as it possibly could have been. He helped me in all aspects of purchasing the home, made sure I understood everything, gave recommendations and ensured I was up to date with the whole process. We bought our home about 9 months ago and I've just kept putting off writing this review because it's so easy to procrastinate such a simple task. However, I got home tonight after an emotionally trying day at work and found a postcard in my mailbox from none other than the great Peter, with a nice personal note and an iTunes gift card, just to say, "thank you". Way to lay on the guilt trip, Peter! All kidding aside, it made my day and this is the Peter I want everyone to know. Any agent can be awesome during the home buying/selling process (duh, they're making a commission off of you) but the ones who rise to the top are the ones who continue to care about you after the deal is done. Before meeting Peter, I always thought that real estate agents were a dime a dozen. To me, they were all stay at home parents who went out to get a license to ride the Perth housing market bubble; showing houses in between picking up the kiddos from school and dropping them of at Footy practice. So, you can certainly imagine my shock and delight at finding that Peter is none of this. He is a true professional who is at the top of his game. He runs his back office meticulously with an amazing team of assistants who are always responsive and helpful. He knows the industry well and can run circles around 99% of real estate agents out there and does. Trust me, we witnessed this time and time again during our 5-month search to buy and 4 week sale process and often almost felt sorry for the other agents but certainly not enough to prevent him from taking full advantage of their inadequacies for our benefit! In the end, we got our house for $10K less than we thought we would pay (when we bought) and got us $15k more for our house that we sold. He's brutally honest and completely ethical. Upon inspection of the property we found Peter to be very upfront and honest. There was no pressure or over talking. During the settlement period there was a slight delay yet Peter was the person who sorted it out. The last few checks were made and Peter arranged his trades to attend promptly and all was completed in time. Peter is a man who is good on his word. He gave us a wonderful buying experience and when its time to sell he will be the one we call.
