Prue recently sold my house in the Inner West and I was really happy with the final sale price, it exceeded my expectations. Not only that - and this is just as important because your selling agent is a huge part of your life for a few weeks- but during the whole time of the campaign I felt very comfortable communicating with her and felt assured that potential buyers would feel the same way. Let's be honest some people can be put off by agents but with Prue you can feel comfortable; she's empathetic and absolutely no nonsense, and backed up by a lot of savvy.
Prue got a terrific result on my 1br house in St Peters ($80,000 more than a very similar 1br house that sold a few months earlier on the same street). Prue is the real deal. She has worked in the inner west market for many years so has a lot of wisdom and knowledge. When I was renting in the late 90s and a landlord sold out from under me, Prue was the selling agent. I always remembered her, because she treated me with respect and courtesy throughout the process. When I needed to sell my own house I went looking for Prue. Prue is an expert, professional, skilled agent. She got fantastic media coverage in addition to the paid marketing, and had squillions of people through the property during the campaign. On the day of the auction there was a huge storm so the auction was moved into the house. The crowd could barely fit, so successful had been her marketing. The sale was because of an acrimonious separation (unfortunately) and Prue managed that difficult situation with sensitivity and care at all times. Prue gets to know vendors and potential buyers, remembers them, builds a real relationship, and always treats everyone with respect and courtesy, just as she did back in the 1990s. I've bought and sold property in the inner west over the past 30 years and have dealt with Prue when I've been out and about 'tyre' kicking. I was always impressed with her personable nature, her market knowledge, and her no nonsense approach. It was for this reason I wanted her to sell my Chippendale apartment. Prue was able to get us a solid result in an environment of some market uncertainty. We had several parties turn up and bid at auction. She was very good about keeping us updated at every stage of the campaign and was very open and transparent about the feedback we were getting. Having lived in Newtown for over 23 years I wanted an agent who also knew the Newtown area, how can someone sell a house if they are no idea of the area, obviously they can but how good a job would they do. I chose Prue for her local knowledge in addition to other attributes which were important to me; Prue made me feel comfortable, I didn’t feel intimidated, she wasn’t pushy or aggressive nor over the top, she didn’t have any throw away sales lines one hears at open houses and she told it how it was and I thought prospective buyers would immediately warm to her, after all this sale wasn’t all about pleasing me.
