We were impressed with Rachel's proactive approach. Her manner was polite yet assertive, open and down to earth. Much appreciated. Her communication always appeared open and honest. It is our belief that the ultimate sale of our house was in no small part due to Rachel's efforts. While the above gives cause to rate Rachel's performance very highly we were left with very serious concerns about her willingness to put our case forward at the expense of a sale. While everyone thinks their house is 'the best' we are concerned that Rachel opted for a sale above obtaining the best price. In essence her ability to negotiate the best deal for us, her "employer" was either outweighed by her desire for a sale or her inability/unwillingness to read the buyers clearly. After we spoke with the buyers it became evident that [1] ours was clearly their house of choice and that they had been watching it for many months and [2] that they were in possession of considerable capital. With these facts in mind we believe a great negotiator working on behalf of their seller could have obtained a far fairer price. Of course knowing that we needed to sell put us in a very vulnerable position. In the end we clearly agreed to a sale but always felt that our case had not been given the back up we deserved. Also it was disappointing that Rachel failed to follow up significantly on the possibility of "selling" a few of our household goods to the now owners. I say this in the knowledge provided by them to us directly that they were definitely interested in several items. We made it abundantly clear to Rachel that while we were grateful for the sale the amount received by us was extremely disappointing. We let her know that although she said she was working for us we believed her interest in a sale took precedence over her willingness to push for a better outcome for us. Cheers.
