This rarely happens; not long after I bought a property from Rahul (who was acting as selling agent for that transaction), noting his professionalism, patience, persistence and excellent Industry knowledge - I also decided to seek his quote and then give him listing for my previous owner occupier property to sell. Several people contacted me for this, but very few took the time to listen in detail to what our thoughts were, our expectations, our preferred approach etc. Selling a first home where one's family has lived for more than a decade can be a personal matter for a seller (with added financial expectations as one expects with how first home owners see their investment) - this is not something many agents who tried to get my business related to all that well (they were professional but personal touch was limited). Rahul was very considerate, patient and convincing - which got him the listing. While the market had slowed down for the final sale (we had to pass in the property at Auction), Rahul was very considerate of our expectations, and even after we rejected a decent offer for a small gap to our revised expectations, he kept trying, and landed a suitable buyer, who valued all the same things we valued as our first family home. There are many agents in the market, but I really compliment Rahul for his personal touch - he can pickup the little things important to Vendor and the Buyer, and can produce a best match in doing so. Given I have both bought and sold with Rahul in a gap of 6 months - needless to say, that I highly recommend him if you are buying or selling.
As a buyer, I initially contacted Rahul to enquire about the property I ended up purchasing - which was one of one of many me and my wife has shortlisted. He was very fast as gathering expectations of what we were after, and showed us several relevant listings he had. In the end, we really liked the house we bought, and in negotiations he made Vendor expectations clear, and then did not push us much in making our best pre-auction offer and gave us space to make our decision (if I was pushed by him, I would certainly have not put in my best possible pre-auction offer). Also, he very promptly answered and/or returned our calls to answer all our questions - giving us comfort in making a firm decision. My highlight: in my very honest opinion, Rahul did do his very best for the Vendors in the transaction (while keeping things practical for the buyer). He kept answering my calls even after settlement for little things and helping best he could. I think Rahul is a very unique agent in the this Industry who can do his best for both Vendor and Buyers.
