Friendly, updated time to time, well response

Amongst seller’s in general, I’ll consider myself and very reasonable and easy going individual. But I guess I shouldn’t have been that flexible. Rajesh was all over my case to get the listing when he was informed by my friend. I was promised at the signing table that he will be the one looking after the listing personally and not someone from the team. As soon as the open homes start, I found out the listing had been pawned off to a junior agent, who only had 8 sales in 2022. As a first time seller, I was expecting I will be schooled regarding the process at every step which was again not the case. I had to call them up to ask questions. The agents knew I was on a 3 month timeline to sell the property which was enough time to get a 1 year old property sold in a fantastic location (as per the agents). 2 weeks into it, they were asking for a reduction in listing price range. It wasn’t till the very last open home, where I had informed them I was not going to RE-list with them for the above-mentioned reasons, that they found a buyer, and given my timeline, I had no choice but to take the offer which was 50-60k below what Rajesh has initially appraised the property for. Rajesh will tell you and give you examples that he sells the same property for a higher price than other agents even if it takes a few more days. But for me, he made no such effort as he had passed on the property to an agent with not many sales. Instead, a similar property about 5 years older than mine sold for about exactly the same price as mine, two weeks before we found our buyer. A friend of mine visited one of the open homes where the junior agents bluntly told him what the listing price was reduced to and a price even lower that the vendor will take to get the deal done. That was a complete breach of trust. I have not aired out my dis-satisfaction to the agents directly but I think it’s important for other vendors to know about my experience.
