We engaged Ray Cashmore (RT Edgar) to market and sell our Gisborne Property. We were provided a current market appraisal for our home which we felt was a fair and reasonable assessment of the property. Ray discussed the various marketing options (& costs) available to us, in order to best market our property. Once agreed, the sales and advertising campaign that followed, proceeded seamlessly. Open houses were conducted with a minimum of fuss. Private inspection requests were conducted quickly and all phone & email enquiries responded to promptly. Ray kept us informed every step of the way, providing weekly updates, including the no. of inspections, buyers feedback, likes and dislikes. At no time during the sales campaign did Ray pressure us or try to persuade us to accept an offer less than what we had agreed. Ray Cashmore took over the sale of our property from another agent who was unsuccessful in organising a sale, after many months on the market. It was evident that our type of property with a large garden to maintain was not popular even though the house was generally acceptable. A more energetic approach to the sale was evident. Ray was persistent in presenting our property via open days followed by an auction which was not successful. Finally successful, a sale to a party attracted by the auction and even though the final price was somewhat disappointing, his professionalism was apparent throughout all the negotiations.
