Although Renee Garland has a high market knowledge, communication and credibility I was disappointed in her skills in negotiation. I am well aware that Renee was working for the vendor but felt she could have negotiated a better price in the final stages. i.e my request for the price to be lowered by $5000 due to the Building & Pest Report. Renee phoned and said she and her boss Steve Bates had read the report and she said that in their opinion, "really there wasn't much there that she could use for negotiating a reduction of $5000". This was not a decision to be made by Renee Garland and Steve Bates. This request was to be put to the vendor based on the building and pest report. On arrival at the premises I will have to immediately book a pest controller to inspect and treat a tree stump suspected to have termites. There were other issues that need maintenance but not as urgently as the tree stump. Renee said the vendors would fix the leak in the shower. But later the vendors said they not find a leak. etc
