Richard is a very good salesman and highly professional. He will go the extra mile to get that last few thousand for you. For some reason we agreed to go to auction in this market against everyone else's advice. Auctions may have worked well in boom times or with highly unique or sought after homes but having sat through an auction with no bids I do not feel that they are in the vendors' best interest in this market. As many buyers are not in a position to make unconditional offers and people's knowledge of auctions is limited in WA this thins the crowd a bit too much for this market. In hindsight we feel that we would still sell with Richard again but would be weary of auctions or any other non standard strategy in this type of market. I am confident that we could have done better with an appropriate initial price on day one, however, the end result was acceptable.
