I approached Robby Davey to sell my property on the recommendation of an associate whose property Robby had recently sold. All this proved to be true with my experience of Robby’s salesmanship and investment in my sale. My property had been tenanted for 26 years and needed attention to get the best sale price. I was also uncertain how I could facilitate the repairs needed when I lived interstate and the property was still under lease. That’s where Robby excelled in communicating to me the minimum improvements needed to attract the right buyer. He also took on the task of communicating effectively with the leasing agent and directly with the tenant. He organised building and pest inspections, negotiated the best quotes with a variety of tradespeople, met with them on site whenever they chose to be available and if he though it quicker or cheaper, he would do the job himself. Some of this work was done with the tenants still occupying the townhouse during the first 4 weeks of the sale period. As a result of Robby’s efforts, my townhouse was returned to a saleable state, he created a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate to buyers that all anticipated barriers to a sale had been rectified which was very useful when he was negotiating the sale and at a price higher than had been offered. Despite the challenges that the sale presented, Robby achieved all the above and settlement of the sale in 8 weeks. I put this great outcome down to Robby Davey’s ability to communicate honestly and in easy to understand terms, his negotiating skills, his understanding of the market and his desire to achieve the best outcome for his client.
