From my first meeting with Rod I felt comfortable with dealing with him. He had answers for us when we asked questions and when he was unable to give an answer he rang and got the information promptly. We interviewed Rod as a potential Real Estate Agent after he was referred to me through a work colleague who had a great experience previously. Rod came prepared to interview at our home on short notice, with the knowledge and information required to run us through the process of selling, what to expect, the state of the market and information about recent sales in the area to help us establish the potential market value. This was very important to us given this is the first home we have sold. Rod pitched his strategy on how he was going to sell our home, that included establishing the right price range to attract buyers and generate competition, what marketing channels to use and an overview of Rod’s negotiation steps. Rod recommended that this approach was the best way to get the most value from our home given the current status of the market. Rod explained that his strategy had changed over the many market cycles, through the highs and lows during his 27 years of experience of selling homes in the area. Rod did not place any pressure to seal the deal and sign him up as our agent on first interview. Rather, he recommended we take more time to interview other agents to ask questions. Rod was a good communicator and kept us informed of the status and progress from organising a contract of sale, booking in the photographer, confirming the online advertising campaigns and photo proofs, and setting a date/time for an Open Home inspection. Rod organised additional sales reps to be present for our Open Home to cater for the demand. Within the week following the Open Home, several offers were made, and the final offer was negotiated up, on the higher side of our price range. Overall Rod is a very experienced Real Estate Agent, and this is clearly demonstrated through his approach, down to earth advice and comprehensive understanding of the regional market. We were extremely happy with the final sale price of our home and I’d highly recommend Rod and the R&W team.
