The initial recommendation to auction the property was a mistake. Four parties were supposed to bid at the auction. Only one turned up and didn't put in a bid. But after that disappointing start, Rorie worked extremely hard to sell the property. A high number of interested parties were shown through the property and a few offers were received before we accepted an offer at our target sale price. Having already moved interstate, Rorie kept the property well presented in our absence particluarly vis a vis the garden, and we were ultimatelty rewarded with the sale. We got a great result on the day, with Rorie having worked hard to build an understanding of the interested parties and having acted between us in terms of any exceptions to the contract being sought. He recognised the need to keep as many of these parties ' in the picture' as possible and to accommodate them where reasonable in order to generate the best result.
