The most unprofessional, rude and pushy realestate agent we encountered in our 12month search to buy a property. She was rude to both of us on multiple occasions, we never actually met her in person at all through the whole buying process as she sent her assistant to every inspection (of which he was lovely) but we both viewed this as really unprofessional. She was not helpful or accommodating to support us as first home buyers and was more than happy to tell us all about everything that we were doing wrong and all about what her daughter was doing buying her property. Quite honestly If we weren’t so desperate to just buy a property after having been searching for so long we would have left that sale and not purchased the property at all purely on her behaviour alone. She blatantly told me over the phone at about 9pm that the idea that I wouldn’t sign the contract before my solicitor had seen it was “the stupidest idea she has ever heard” she then later had a phone conversation with us to amend the contract of which she spent the whole phone call saying things like “this is stupid, I don’t know why I’m even doing this” which we both felt was highly unprofessional. We then had to move two inspection times because she had double booked things or the time she had said now didn’t suit her. I also explained to her that we were two seperate investors in this property and that everything had to be passed through both parties, however, she continued to only ever make contact with the other party and not myself. As we were first home buyers this was already a scary, stressful and new experience for us and she only made the whole experience worse and it’s a shame given that it should have been a much more exciting experience. We will under no circumstances ever be going back to Harcourts for any property needs and neither will either of our families after this experience we have had.
