I called Russel 2 months before putting the property on the market. It had been a 15year rental. I agreed on a basic clean up reno following some useful suggestions by Russel. Before the reno, the estimated sale price was a very hard sell at $825 - $850k. During the reno, Russel kept in touch and added inspiration, no suggestions were over the top and he kept me grounded. On completion, I handed the keys over and left for Tasmania leaving the whole process to Russel. We then agreed that the price should be $900k noting that the reno cost $25k. Russel kept in touch and during the 1st week, Russel had shown the home to several people and staged an unadvertised open house. On the second week, the house appeared on the web and the 1st open house was advertised. Russel marketed the property and the response from phone, and web enquiries was outstanding. The open house was attended by 160 groups and 6 offers were received. I accepted one of the offers being $960k which was $100k over what we were expecting before the reno and $60k over our expectations following the reno. Sold after the 1st open house!! Being in Tasmania during this period, Russel kept me fully informed. There was no pressure to accept any offers and Russell's happy disposition simply made this process very pleasant. I have one more property to sell next year and there is not question, Russel will be given this property to sell. I am simply delighted with Russell's approach and efforts, the result speaks for it's self
