A consummate real estate professional and major shareholder in Harper Property Agents, Ryan applies his knack for social science and people reading to the negotiation process to achieve the best outcomes for his clients. Ryan entered the real estate industry in 2008 with one of Newcastle’s most established real estate agencies, where he honed his communication skills and developed the sales strategies that continue to drive his success today. Ryan is a born-and-bred Lake Macquarie boy with Rugby League in his blood and a passion for a range of sports. He grew up playing rugby league, cricket, soccer, basketball and golf, before being offered a position as a rugby league referee. After 10 years of service and officiating several senior grand finals, Ryan was named the youngest-ever life member of the Newcastle Referees Association. He attended St Pius X High School in Kotara and St Francis Xavier Senior College in Hamilton, and now lives in Charlestown with his wife and two children. In his downtime you’ll likely find him enjoying quality time with his family at a Knights game or at one of Newcastle’s renowned cafes – a town he proudly calls ‘the best big little city in the world’.

Sale process review

Ryan was exceptional in his understanding of my circumstances. The crew of professionals he has assembled is amazing from the girls in the office the photographer and building inspection guys. Everyone was first class. Ryan managed to sell my house prior to auction at a price I was content with. Thanks for the great service. Hopefully when I am ready to buy again they have something on their books I want I'm now loathe to use any other agent this is the way real estate should be. Thanks again mate

Cannot be happrier

I have purchased and sold a few properties, so have experienced different real estate agents. Ryan and his agency have been the best so far. The property has a few problems that are out of my control before it could be sold. Ryan has been extremely helpful in solving the problems for me. He has always been saying 'do not worry, I can deal with it.' And it turned out that I did not need to worry about anything. He has liaised on my behalf with all kinds of parties. Many problems required annoying forth and back communications, but he has been supportive and active all along the way. He went miles beyond what a real estate agent needs to do (for the commission that I have paid) to help me out with the problems. Besides, he was extremely smart in matching the property with appropriate buyers. The case turned out to be a win-win for both me and the buyer. I cannot image it would have been going this smoothly without the powerful and professional handling of Ryan. This being said, Ryan is a very honest person. I feel confident in the entire process of selling the property, thanks for his delightful personality. I believe the buyers would have felt the same.
