Sam acted for me selling properties in Daylesford, on of which took a great deal of patient negotiating on his part dealing with a very nervous offshore purchaser. What Sam did really well was to know the buyers. He knew exactly who would be bidding on the day. with that he was able to communicate to me the likely outcomes. Communications was great - he kept me informed of the visitors during the OFIs. On the day he conducted the auction very professionally. Good outcome.
In a business place where "some people" are not always upfront and honest, this was and is "not" the case with Sam.! We felt at ease dealing with him, and he was very helpful through the negotiating process. Would recommend Sam anytime.
Having had a false start with an inappropriate agent, who brought through loads of people who were never going to make an offer on our house ( e.g. first home buyers, people who told us they were looking for a flat and had been sent a text inviting to attend an OFI at our house) , we changed horses and chose Sam and Abercrombie's on someone else's recommendation that they were a company who could deal with the 'unusual'. Sam was on the ball from the start, and was showing appropriate people through from Day One. He had a list in the his back pocket of people who were asking him to keep an eye out for the unusual. Before the advertising was complete, before the launch had started, Sam had an offer on the table which was more than our reserve. We couldn't have been happier.
