I have bought a few homes now but buying this one was certainly the most emotionally 'charged'. The vendors naturally wanted a higher price that we were offering while we were in no position to go higher. We also put in an offer that was dependent upon many factors so obviously the vendors were cautious. Only Samantha was in the position to judge our integrity and I believe she saw us for who we are and accepted that we were genuine. Regardless, it was a difficult balancing act yet she mananged it beautifully, paying respect to both parties and their circumstances. I believe she went well beyond her duty to ensure the sale occurred as well as possible for both parties. At the final hour there was a problem with the sale of our house - as if our vendors hadn't been through enough already - and yet she negotiated it with professionalism and confidence. I felt very secure. There were plenty of times during our purchase process when things could have gone pear shaped but she kept in all sane. I would also like to say that I found Samantha to be an honest, genuine person with integrity. She didn't use any smoke and mirrors as some agents I came across did and she was able to "go with me" in any communications. At no point did I feel like she was concealing important information, nor trying to deceive me. And, as a woman, I never felt demeaned or "less-than", as I have felt with some male agents. I can highly recommend Samantha and can say with all honesty that the purchase of our new home would have fallen through with any agent that did not have her level of integrity. I would have walked away. We love our new home and the new life it gives us, even with all the problems of an older house in need of a little attention.
