Scott struck me as down to earth & far more in touch with a vendor than any of the other agents I asked for an appraisal. After his reality check on the value of the house the other agents all nodded when I told them what I would like for the house & were prepared to sign me up at any price. Scott on the other hand was warmer & friendlier in his approach & though giving me a lower figure than I hoped for was prepared to start at my line & see what happened. In the end his estimate was realistic which was in a way a disappointment for me after 10.5 years of hoping for a better price & seeing comparable properties go for $20,000 more just 2-3 years ago. But he turned up when he said he would & he got a slightly better price than initially offered through his negotiation skills. The biggest selling point was paying expenses after the sale as I didn't have the cash to pay up front with all the other agents.
