When we decided to sell the house we were focussed on getting an agent whom we could trust. We realised that having an agent is like having a doctor or lawyer client relationship. We spoke to a couple of local agents before contacting Ray White but we found them to be too “sharp”. When we first spoke to Scott he impressed us with his relaxed, down to earth manner so we engaged him. Over the ensuing months we got to know him and his wife and we discovered him to be a warm, friendly, family and community oriented man. We had lunch and dinner with Scott and his wife and we formed a friendship. The proof of that relationship and trust was when Scott helped to extricate us from an awkward, and potentially nasty, situation (which we will not go into here). During the weeks leading up to the sale of our home Scott was always available to us if we needed to talk to him – he responded promptly and courteously to our e-mails and texts and met us for coffee if that was also required. Scott told us that he had about 5 other clients at the same time as us but we never got the impression that he was too busy to talk to us or unable to do whatever we needed. In the end, he drove one and a half hours to get the offer signed by the buyer, even though we had not finally committed ourselves to selling at the price we had indicated. Ray White should be proud to have someone like Scott McAuliffe working for them. We believe he always acted with integrity and without any of the hype that is sometimes associated with his profession.
