Sean was recommended to us by someone who, in general, had little faith in real estate agents but made an exception for Sean. Sean met us very promptly, discussed the situation fully without wasting time, and impressed us so much we didn't bother chasing up any other agents to see if we could do better. Sean's initial valuation was much higher than we expected. We then also got an independent valuation from a professional valuation company (cost about $500) which was significantly lower than Sean's first indication. The end result was Sean got the sale at nicely higher than the other valuation but not as much as he first thought. Note that at the time the house was on the market Sydney house prices in general were coming down from the highs of 2017. Sean kept us up-to-date with what was happening and helped with suggestions and recommendations as we prepared the property to go on the market and then got it ready for settlement. The overall experience was relatively stress-free for what is a major event, the costs were less than we expected, it took a bit more time than we hoped but nothing alarming, and at the conclusion the price we got was significantly higher than satisfactory.
