Shandra and her colleague met with me in April to appraise my townhouse and get the ball rolling for an auction in mid-August. This was the first time I’d ever sold a house, having owned and lived in it for 12 years. Shandra explained my price expectations were a little unrealistic - being about 10% higher than the market indicated. Most of this was due to me happening to choose to sell around the time of multiple existing and expected upcoming loan interest rate rises. “Of course” I thought, “Just my ‘luck’”. The market was down and it continued declining as the RBA raised the rate a total of four times by a total of 2.25% and made me anxious. Shandra reassured me and was always calm, friendly, professional and helpful over those four months. I needed to move interstate in mid June and there was a lot to do as the house needed painting throughout and a host of repairs, improvements and maintenance. All of this took place after I vacated the premises in late June and Shandra managed the contractors and kept me apprised of the progress by phone, text, email and photos. By mid-July the house was ready and it looked absolutely fantastic. A lot had been done, even though the expenses had been kept quite low. The photographs were taken after appropriate furniture was added - but I wasn’t completely happy and asked for an adjustment for one of them and proposed a different shot for the advertising board - out of everything this was the only change I instigated. Shandra got that organised and everyone agreed that these changes were a big improvement. Then advertising, marketing and regular inspections all took place over four weeks and Shandra and team’s hard work paid dividends as multiple offers of increasing value were received. In the end no auction was required due to several buyers competing against each other. Surprisingly, the price ended up being pretty close to my original expectation’s. Shandra is helpful, cheerful and professional. Highly recommended!
