Shane was born in Williamstown Melbourne. At 5 months old his father who had his career in the air force was posted to America where his family followed before settling in Canberra at the age of 2.
Shane was raised with his two siblings as a middle child in the Tuggeranong Valley. Shane finished his schooling years at Goulbourn Trinity Catholic College. While attending the school he found a love for rugby as the team's loose head prop. Shane gained the opportunity to represent his school and play with the country NSW team and play for the Brumbies junior development squad. Shane also played for the Highlanders and Vikings.
Shane studied Hotel Management at CIT where he had the opportunity to do work experience in the Cook Islands at the age of 18. Once returned home Shane worked in the local hospitality industry.
At the age of 19 Shane decided to move to Perth to spend time with family, while in Perth Shane set a goal to own his own home by age 21 which he achieved, so he understands the emotions involved in buying and selling real estate. Shane went on to start in the security industry at Burswood Casino (Now known as Crown Perth) Being a high achiever he set out a goal to become a Senior Supervisor which was achieved, later on he became a fill in Shift Manager on the weekends with a team of 90+ staff and responsible for the whole complex (Casino, bars, restaurants 2 hotels and nightclub).
After 6 years in Perth Shane was to start his own family and felt that the best way to do it was to raise his son in the town he was raised close to immediate family. Being a young family man Shane understands the struggles and needs to achieve the best for your family.
Shane inherited a passion for real estate from his late grandfather who was a successful real estate agent in Perth. Shane wanted to work for Independent because of the companies values; these values align with Shane's personal values.
