Many thanks to Shane for all his assistance and advise on the purchase of our new home. Having only recently arrived in Australia, many things were new to us, so we depended on Shane to guide us through the process. After having traveled extensively through the Gold Coast before moving up the coast north of Brisbane, we found Bribie Island, which appeared to present a lifestyle we were looking for. We started early in the morning visiting 'Open homes'. the third house which Shane was showing ticked all the boxes and we wanted to put in an offer. Shane explained the process and minimum deposit. He was showing another house at the same price and suggested we have a look at that one too, just so that we could get an idea of value for money. His knowledge of the local market and friendly communication skills were reassuring. We did visit the other house, but were still taken by the first. A signed offer was presented to the sellers and after some short negotiation, accepted. A further deposit was made and the whole agreement was signed and sealed by 16h00 that afternoon. Shane continued to keep in touch and gave us details on Conveyancing Attorneys, electrical and internet connections, following up periodically. Great after sales service. There was a problem with the banks, during the transfer of our remaining funds from abroad, which became very stressful, as we were now exceeding our contract date. Shane remained tentative and acted with empathy explaining the situation to the attorneys and sellers, all of whom were understanding of the situation, until the funds arrived and we became the proud owners of our new home. Shane's friendly, positive and competent nature, made good of the whole process and we would have no hesitation in recommending him further.
