Good local knowledge is essential for acreage sales

Shayne has great local knowledge, particularly in acreage properties in the area. This is an essential skill in the successful marketing and sale of any acreage property, and proved to be the case for our home. Almost all acreage properties in the Greater Sydney area are in the premium price category - a situation that also calls for specialist, in-depth knowledge and skill to navigate. Shayne displayed the requisite knowledge and skills to help us achieve the price we wanted, in what is a challenging market sector.

When Shayne sold us our acreage, we knew we wouldn’t let anyone else sell it if we ever moved. It was the first property we looked at and when I said I can’t buy the first one we’d seen Shayne spent a morning driving me around every property that had sold in the last two years including arranging for me to walk around several. At the end of the morning he said, “Now it’s like you’ve been looking for two years”. When I give sales training, I use this as the best objection handling, I’ve ever seen. Shayne gave me some advice too on how to make the most out of the property and having followed that we sold our property 5 years later for double the value. I doubt anyone knows this market better. So it was an easy choice when we came to sell our acreage. Even so we did speak to other agents. Not only was Shayne’s starting position more competitive, he had a clear plan and was right on the money. There were none of the outlandish claims or the extravagant values we heard elsewhere. He was straight up and down throughout. We listed our property about two weeks before Corona virus hit Australia, having already bought another house and needing to sell. I can’t imagine many worse times to try to sell a home. Shayne and Taylor were excellent to deal with and ensured we not only sold our acreage but got a strong result in very difficult conditions. I am convinced the crucial factor was the deep experience they have in this market, whilst others have ideas, they know what will work. They work tirelessly, they were professional and pleasant to deal with throughout and most importantly got us the result we needed. We could not recommend them highly enough.

Shayne has serviced the Terrey Hills and Duffys Forest areas for many years now and has built up a knowledge and contact base that surpasses most other agents. He is very professional in his approach and managed to keep us well informed throughout our sales campaign.

Shayne and talon both had great product knowledge and know the rea very well. Was able to get the house we wanted with a minimum of fuss. Any questions were promptly answered and we were able to make the purchase.

Have known Shayne for a few years. He regularly contacted us regarding a possible sale of our property as well as keeping us fully informed of sales in the Terrey Hills/Duffy's Forest area. When we decided to down-size, we had no hesitation to contact Shayne to act as our exclusive agent. A contract was signed and a marketing plan developed, which involved a photographic presentation, a stylist to "de-clutter" our home and a significant advertising campaign. Shayne also contacted a number of potential buyers. It was decided to put the property up for auction. Regular Saturday inspections were carried out. Shayne and his marketing assistant Taylor followed up on the Mondays. We would receive a full report with comments from the potential buyers. Sometimes inspections were arranged mid week. Both Shayne and Taylor did a lot of follow-ups, which resulted in the successful sale of the property 2 days prior to the planned auction. We appreciated the professional attitude of Shayne and his staff. It was not an easy time to sell property but SCL displayed persistence, keeping in close touch with prospective buyers. We have no hesitation in strongly recommending Shayne and his Team.

Great agent to buy and sell with!

After purchasing our home from Shayne 3 years ago we decided to move interstate so called Shayne back and they were more then helpful getting us on the market and sold in a matte of weeks. We found Shayne and Penny honest and helpful on both sides selling and buying.
