When we decided to sell our property, there were many agents that we could choose from. In my work, I deal with real estate agents daily (lucky me!) from all different agencies, franchises and even States. So one would think that having so many agents to choose from, the choice would be difficult. Choosing Simon as our agent was the easiest decision we actually made. As everyone knows, the market at the moment isn't great. We were selling a 1 bedroom apartment in a declining market, located in a high-density area where prices are falling quicker than the general market as a whole due to these factors. That, coupled with the fact we decided to list it in December, meant that it was likely to be a long and stressful time trying to secure a buyer. The advertising showed our property in the best light possible and from the very first open, we had significant groups through. Simon kept us fully up to date at all times, even when there was no update! He even kept in touch with us over Christmas and New Year when everyone was having a break - not Simon though, he worked through and even showed our property to prospective buyers during this period. After only 6 weeks on market (which is not a long time in this market at all!) Simon came through with the goods! An offer bang on his estimate and sold within our time frame. We were over the moon! However, our buyer then had some minor teething issues during the exchange period - the drama with Opal Tower didn't help nor did the Royal Commission into banking. Simon went completely above and beyond for our buyer, which in turn assisted us. I can confidently say that if it weren't for Simon's tenacity, transparency and trustworthiness, our property wouldn't have sold. The ONLY reason why we sold our place was because of him. No other agent would have gone above and beyond like he did to ensure we got where we needed to be. We will always recommend him and definitely use him again!

In a softening market it's difficult to predict the likely sale price, but he did reasonably well. The sales marketing went a little askew but was recoverable. Ultimately the real test was getting a customer over the line at an acceptable sale price. This he did successfully, so in summary an agent I can recommend.
