I felt disappointed the way the sale was handled and felt I was not taken seriously when I first showed interest in the property. During the sale transition, I didn't feel supported when I made an honest mistake on the front of the contact. Agent seem to forget that he acted for me in negotiating the day before (memory loss). I was disappointed on the day that I settled that the agent was even here to give me the keys (I waited for quiet a while to be told a text was sent to me to where to find the keys). It would of been much better to have left a bottle of cheap wine than cheap lollies for us in kitchen. I have brought several houses in the past and never had this experience before. My close girlfriend who was also buying a house from the you at the same time also complained about the way the sale was handled. I don't think I could honestly recommended this agency to anyone after my experience.

After purchasing our first home from Simon Scholtens in 2012 and being somewhat surprised/absolutely impressed with the way he conducted business, there was no question that we would list with him in 2014 to sell. Breaking the paradigm of the stereotypical real estate agent Simon was professional, personable and no nonsense, "just get the job done" attitude. Always available and went over and above to accommodate some of our requests. We were under time constraints having purchased another property, Simon met with us, had the property photographed (portrayed impeccably) and an open home within 10 days. On the day of viewing, we received multiple offers before the open home was complete and ended up selling for a record, unprecedented price in the complex. Most real estate agents we encountered do the industry a disservice with their arrogance (particularly in a vendors market), their tendency to over promise and under deliver and blatantly putting there own interests ahead of both vendor and purchaser. Our experience on both occasions with Simon Scholtens was the opposite, what it came down to quite simply is that he did what he said he would, when he said he would. Always available and a down to earth personable bloke who gets things done. We actively recommend Simon personally and Scholtens Real Estate to anyone looking to buy or sell and we though we will personally engage them for all of our future real estate needs.

The purchase of the unit was trouble free, and we are very happy with the level of communication through the purchase process. Simon was also able to find tenants for the property quickly. In the six months or so that we have had this property, all matters associated with the management of the property have been dealt with in a timely manner.

We were selling an unusual property in FIGTREE, but Simon and his team were not at all phased. He was with us every step of the way; always calm, suppotive and encouraging. His Honesty was fantastic and kept us realistic with our pricing and the final result was Great.
