The environment was very challenging because of the pandemic and for some time there were no buyers willing to commit. However, as we were about to suspend the process following the birth of our baby, Simon kept engaging with interested parties and managed to get two parties to agree to a virtual inspection. Both were interested and then it was when Simon's skills really proved invaluable, as he managed to engage them in an effective auction process that delivered us a very good price. Simon Shrimpton proved to be innovative, determined & proactive in the process of marketing our home and obtaining a great price for us, during the first of the COVID 19 lockdowns in Victoria. He supervised the styling of the home and put a great deal of effort into following up individuals who inspected the home. In fact, the initial stylist he brought in had fully set the house up but Simon wasn't happy with the result & had them pick it all up and he brought in a new stylist, at zero additional cost to us, to obtain the look & feel he felt our home deserved. When the expressions of interest process closed at 6pm on the final day, three bidders were very close together. In discussion with us, it was decided to take it to an online auction, using Zoom for two of the bidders (one of whom was overseas and one in Melbourne) and the third party dialed in by phone. We listened to the auction and he did a great job of drawing them all along, finishing with a result that was well above the reserve we had agreed on. We highly recommend Simon and his team as proactive and innovative.

We engaged Simon to sell our property after comparing his sales pitch with two other real estate agencies. Simon stood out because he gave us a clear vision for how he would sell the property that, while contrasting markedly with the others, seemed plausible and more likely to deliver better results. He suggested that we not rush the sale's campaign, but rather wait till the tenants had vacated the property so that he could present it in a way that would best promote the property into the market. He acted with integrity, was honest in working with us and was always available to answer our questions. He was quick to respond to queries and proactive in contacting us with relevant information on the progress of the campaign. For example, and unlike many agents, mid-way through the sales campaign he suggested that, on the basis of market feedback, it would reasonable and accurate to increase the sale range for the market. The high numbers coming through the property and the associated feedback suggested that the sale price would be higher than first thought and we supported Simon's suggestion.
