My partner and I had been looking for our first home for close to 6 months so we had been in contact with a number of agents. We first met Simon when we viewed the property and at that time it was only days before the auction and we did not have our finance sorted yet. We'd been in a similar situation and most of the other agents and as soon as they knew we didn't have finance they didn't want to know us. However we both felt Simon was really understanding of our situation and sympathised with us by saying there were actually a few other couples who were interested in this property in the same boat. So he encouraged us to come to the auction and see what happens. Which we did and lucky for us there weren't any bidders and we were able to put in a bid subject to finance which was then accepted.
