Sonya worked with our family to sell our first home in Ashgrove in May 2014. We were selling in order to embark on an overseas adventure and were under a bit of time pressure because our flights were booked and we hadn’t decided to sell with a lot of notice. We were also in a situation where we were only prepared to sell for a good price and if it wasn’t reached within our timeframe, we would keep the house and rent it.
Sonya impressed us on many levels. Firstly, she provided an extremely accurate estimate of sale price. We were given a window and the house sold for a price close to the top of her estimate. This was reassuring as we had found other agents danced around the question of “what do you think we might get for this house?” Sonya was able to list the property promptly, and we were happy with the marketing package and price proposed.
Open homes were scheduled well in advance so we could prepare adequately, and any additional open homes were requested with 24 hours notice. It was also great that Sonya arranged to have the rest of the Ray White Paddington team view our property for their own potential buyers.
Our house was sold within five days of it being put on the market for a price we were happy with. Sonya kept us well informed during the negotiation process and settlement that followed, giving sound advice and instruction when required. She was also very helpful in recommending third parties such as solicitors.
Sonya has a fantastic knowledge of the Ashgrove area and a comforting sales manner. She is proactive, communicative, engaging and reliable yet not “overwhelming” or “overbearing” as some real estate agents can be.
