From the moment I met Sophia Tangey, I connected with her on both a personal and professional level. I knew her warmth, years of experience and professionalism would be the ‘right fit’ for my elderly Italian parents, my uncle and whole family. She had the people skills to manage the emotions and expectations of the family throughout what could have been a very stressful process and guided us each step of the way. She also has an empathy for the elderly to go that extra mile and worked very hard (leading a friendly & collaborative team at Barry Plant - Glen Waverley) to negotiate and secure the best possible result 2 days ahead of auction that exceeded our price expectations. This was quite an achievement given the 38 year old home, though presented very well to maximize it’s vintage charm, was not renovated/updated which surrounding homes being sold in the same area had gone through the big expense/time/effort to a get similar price, therefore reducing their profit by the amount spent. But Sophia’s genuine love of the period detail and presentation of the family home meant she sold the home to right buyer with conviction. I enjoyed working with her.
