In the recent process in selling our family home, the key lesson we learnt is to get a quality agent as it makes all the difference and Stephanie proved this point. Our home was not the easist property to sell, given its location on a busy road, its perceived unusual design and its age and condition but it certainly was a presentable home that could be lived in. Prior to Stephanie, we tried an initial agent selected primarily on the agency’s reputation but the agent that was assigned to our property was not overly experienced and this showed in the results where we had little interest in our property and in the end only one contract was issued pre auction and a single bidder. Obviously we did not get the result we were striving for. We changed agents and selected Stephanie personally based on her proven track record in the area. In the next campaign which followed immediately from the unsuccessful one, the results were different. It was apparent that Stephanie could engage better with the potential buyers and the conversion rate of open house attendees to genuine interested parties was far higher with multiple contracts being issued, with follow up for second inspections, pest reports etc. Stephanie has a great rapport with potential buyers and they were carefully managed and informed during the campaign. Stephanie certainly knew the market conditions and was able to use this knowledge to our advantage. She stated to have faith in the process and come auction day this proved to be correct with 5 registered bidders and a competitive auction that gave us a price that met our original expectations.
