Stephen was recommended by my mortgage broker and I am delighted that I took their advice. Stephen has a wealth of experience and an almost life-long interest in the housing market, all of which he carefully and respectfully placed at my disposal. I had never sold a house before and didn't know what to expect (despite lots of often conflicting advice from lots of people), but Stephen took me through everything with unfailing courtesy and sincerity, no matter what I asked or said, or how out of sync with the market my expectations might have seemed. I appreciated his candour and his honesty, even if I thought he was underestimating what my property might sell for. As it turned out at the auction, Stephen was right on the market and I was not, with the registered bidders offering much less that I believed the property was worth. After it was handed in, Stephen spent hours negotiating with the two main bidders and, to my surprise and delight, he managed to achieve an unexpectedly high offer that was very acceptable to me. The deal could thus be finalised ojn the day of the auction. I found Stephen trustworthy, well attuned to the market, and very diligent in seeking the best possible outcome for me. I recommend him unreservedly to any seller in Canberra looking for an agent who is honestly on their side.
